History
KC Weightlifting owner and head trainer Anna Martin has been passionate about strength training for nearly three decades. Weightlifting first piqued her interest when she was just 14 years old and hoped to get stronger for volleyball. Her coach encouraged her to participate in her first weightlifting match and she was immediately hooked. As time went on, Anna was trained under some of the best coaches in the world and built an impressive resume:
- Training under some of the best coaches in the world
- Competing for the US weightlifting team
- Serving as strength and conditioning coach at Oklahoma State University & Tulane University
- Coaching internationally
- Coaching record-breaking and top 10 athletes in the US
Now she harnesses this world-class experience to provide elite Olympic weightlifting training and strength and conditioning coaching to the Kansas City area. Anna’s unmatched passion and dedication make KC Weightlifting the ideal place to pursue your sports and fitness goals.
